Who we are

We're Write of Passage and we run online writing bootcamps where we help students share their best ideas online. We have almost 1,700 alumni students from 72 countries, and are considered the gold standard of online, cohort-based education.

Here’s a video from our last cohort to celebrate the end of the bootcamp, to give you a sense of what the experience is like. ➡️

Who we’re looking for

Our weekly 90-minute live sessions are a key component of the bootcamp. These are the core content sessions, where we teach fundamental Write of Passage frameworks. These sessions are highly interactive and engaging, blending presentations, group discussions, writing exercises and breakout rooms.

We're now in search of an innovative designer and visual thinker who can help craft our best live sessions slide decks yet—visually and conceptually.

Here is a quick Loom video where Charlotte, our Student Success Lead, talks through the scope in more detail:

Note that we create our decks in Pitch and so need a designer who is happy to use this platform (prior experience with Pitch is not required though.)

Details on timeline and ways of working

Our next cohort starts on April 8.

We want to be ready with all the live session content before the start of the cohort. This means that the design work will be happening between April 4 and May 5. We might need some small tweaks done here and there throughout the cohort but it should be minimal. We want the decks to be 95% ready by the time the cohort starts.

This is a fully remote role so it does not matter where you are based. The majority of communication will happen asynchronously, via Slack and Pitch (by tagging and commenting.) There will be a few calls here and there, especially in the beginning, to properly onboard and brief you.

Note that this is not a full-time role. We are estimating roughly 10-15 hours per week, which you can allocate throughout the week depending on your schedule.
